Child Development: Basic skills for young learners, ages 5 to 8

Welcome! This website is still a work in progress.

There is an urgent need for parents and guardians to have a ready tool to foster their children’s growing needs. For convenience, the term “tutors” will be used for anyone who is participating in a young child’s learning process.

The information and materials presented here are completely free. We do not ask for a subscription, email address, or contact information.
This is not a site to baby-sit and entertain your children. It requires your full, whole-hearted commitment to help your children, to build a universal foundation that enables them to become life-long learners.

Academic Skills

The math and writing skills are printer ready. We encourage “tutors” to print out the pages as needed. (The importance of paper and pencil brain connection will be discussed in other areas)  Lessons are posted on this site. The answers and teacher-guided instructions will be presented/reviewed on YouTube.
Our goal is  “whole child” development. Thus we will also focus on:
● Parenting
● Brain development and heart-brain connections.
● Literacy Development
● Character development through children’s stories
● A Chinese language teaching tool for beginners

Hopefully we will eventually expand into the other non-academic areas.
Welcome again to T. W. Child Development!

Mission Statement:

Teaching Well has two meanings:

One: Teach Them Well!

It is a tool offered to everyone who wants to help their young children become lifelong learners. What they learn from you now will last for the rest of their life.

Two: Well As a Water source

Help your children learn self-reliance. Let them discover and realize that they are their own best resource.
Give them the confidence to trust their own water source.
This well, once dug, will be there for the rest of their life.

Learn in the comfort of
your own home.
